Walton Research Building<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Located on the southernmost side of MUSC’s campus, the Walton Research Building is home to a variety of departments and divisions including:<\/p>\n

\u2022 The MUSC Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine<\/p>\n

\u2022 The MUSC Department of Otolaryngology research space<\/p>\n

\u2022 The MUSC Department of Medicine\u2019s Division of Hematology and Oncology,<\/p>\n

\u2022 Divisions of the College of Medicine Education team.<\/p>\n

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine<\/h3>\n

Laboratory Services, a division of Clinical Services, provides MUSC with laboratory services for inpatient, outpatient and outreach areas. The division also serves as the testing site for the State of South Carolina’s organ transplant agency. Organ transplants that are offered by the Medical University of South Carolina include:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Pancreas transplants<\/p>\n

\u2022 Liver transplants<\/p>\n

\u2022 Heart transplants<\/p>\n

\u2022 Bone marrow transplants<\/p>\n

The Department of Otolaryngology<\/h3>\n

The Department of Otolaryngology at MUSC holds, as its mission, the commitment to improving the quality of life of individuals and families through patient care, teaching, and the discovery of new knowledge.<\/p>\n

The Department of Medicine\u2019s Division of Hematology and Oncology<\/h3>\n

As an integral component of the Hollings Cancer Center, the MUSC Division of Hematology and Oncology builds upon a long history of excellence in hematology and hematological malignancies, as well as solid tumor oncology and bone marrow transplant. Division faculty are leaders in the fields of cancer care and blood disorders.\u00a0<\/p>\n
