The Basic Science Building is a key facility for learning and research at the Medical University of South Carolina. You will find most of the basic science departments housed in this building including faculty offices, basic science laboratories, and learning spaces. Classroom spaces are equipped with modern audio and visual technology for an enhanced classroom experience.
In addition to the academic department offices, this building is home to MUSC’s Office of Equity; Office of Research Development; and the Office of Instructional Technology & Faculty Resources.
The MUSC Basic Science building is a multipurpose structure housing the College of Graduate Studies, research laboratories, five auditorium-style classrooms and faculty offices. College of Dental Medicine offices also are located in this facility as are Video Services and Digital Imaging, which are located on the first floor. Satellite receiving and transmission equipment to support distance education is housed in the building and on the roof.
