The Horseshoe

Imagine the smell of freshly bloomed flowers, and the feel of a cool breeze on a warm day. You can hear the songs of chirping birds, as you take in deep breaths of fresh air. You can take time to reflect on the beauty of the world, while windchimes softly sound as they dance from an old oak tree. This is MUSC’s Horseshoe, often call the “front lawn” of the University. 

This scenic part of MUSC’s green spaces offers a natural getaway for patients, visitors, students, and staff. The park offers peace and relaxation, along with plenty of benches for reflection and rest. You can enjoy outdoor dining, and an endless amount of fresh air.

Additionally, this area often plays host to major special events and programs that honor and pay tribute to patients and organizations of MUSC.
