The Institute of Psychiatry is home to the Medical University of South Carolina’s nationally-ranked Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
We offer patients, caregivers, and their professional providers access to the latest evidence-based practices and advances in research. Our institute has been named Hospital of the Year by the National Alliance on Mental Health South Carolina chapter four out of the last five times one was named.
We are located in downtown Charleston on President Street, just west of the Bioengineering Building.
